Tip #2 – Cleaning Your Refrigerator Coils

A simple, easy to accomplish task such as cleaning your refrigerator coils twice a year has several important benefits: it will make your appliance run more efficiently, extend the life of your fridge, and can save you up to 6% on your energy bills. Tip #1 – Changing Your Air Filter

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, indoor air pollution is one of the top 5 environmental health risks facing Americans today. In order to keep your home clean and safe, consider changing your air filter at least once a year. How often you change the filter will depend largely on what type you use, but we suggest a “deep pleated” filter, which is designed to last for approximately 1 year. And to make sure you are keeping those filters up-to-date, it’s a good idea to write the date you last changed it on the filter itself – that way you can be sure your furnace is always running at its best.
